A message from the owner, Deidra Wesley

The idea for Flair Advantage came to me during my time in New York City. Living in a fashion capital really awakened my passion for the industry. When the holiday season came around in 2013, I began looking for designer gifts for my family. I wanted to give them presents that were really special and things that I knew they would probably never buy for themselves. My family are very low-maintenance. We’re very low-key, modest people. We rarely splurge on ourselves and when we do, even our “splurges” are conservative. So, I wanted to go all-out for my family, but I didn’t want to go broke doing it. There I was, running all over town, shopping, researching luxury brands and trying to stay on budget when I discovered that you really can get amazing deals on fashion if you are smart about it and willing to do a little work.

For example, I found some incredible Christian Louboutin shoes. They were mirrored with an angular wedge heel and perfect for my little sister, who has a flashy sense of style. They were brand-new and retailed for about $1,200. I got them for about $200! I gave them to her for Christmas and she loved them. She was a little nervous to wear them for the first time because she knew just how special these shoes were, but it didn’t take long for her to break those babies in!

My older sister loves Rachel Zoe. I got very lucky and found a beautiful one-of-a-kind pair of cream-colored snakeskin loafers from the designer. Guess how much I paid for them. $30! They were perfect for big sis’ CEO style, and she was very, VERY happy.

I got my mom a beautiful, oh-so-classy pair of D&G heels. They were about $600 retail and I got them for about $100. They had black fabric with delicate, gold chain trim. These shoes were absolutely gorgeous and perfect for Mom’s Sunday best. She said they made her feel like a first lady! It made me so happy to see how much joy these gifts brought to my family. I knew then that I wanted to bring that same joy to budget-conscious fashion lovers all over the world, and Flair Advantage was born!
